Oklahoma County Jail

Seems to me that all the inmates everywhere are locked up for something they "didn't do". Why is that?

Inmates are arrested by probable cause, caught in the act, warrants, being an accessory to a crime, and at times simply being in the wrong place when a crime has been committed. Yes, some people are arrested by mistake, happens everywhere at times.

this is very true. there are innocent people in jail and it's sad and scary. what happened to the old spirit the judicial system said it had: it would be better for 50 guilty people to go free than for 1 innocent person to be punished for something they didn't do.: .. the problem or a lot of it is overcrowding. they have to run these inmates through the system like doughnuts and too many things slip through the crack and innocent people wind up doing time. it sucks

taz , think about it, everyone in jail is not guilty. I know one, my son and I would ask God to take me right now if I am wrong. An ex wife after 17 yrs. of marriage and yrs. of her doing drugs and mental problems and affairs by her, chose to get rid of my son by lying on him . Can not go any more into it with you until his trial.

You can be wrong: if your son is not guilty and he has a good lawyer, they will figure that out. if his lawyer is not good, he can ask for a new trial based on his attorney not being competent. pray a lot. and tell him to do the same. and remember to pray for her too, that god will soften her heart and make her tell the truth or cause her to get caught in lies. judges are not stupid and neither are juries. if he hasn't gone to trial yet, i think he should definitely ask for a jury trial. i'd rather take my chances with 6 or 12 people than with just the judge and EVERYone is entitled and has a right to a jury trial.

taz, if you really believe that, let me sell you some beach property in arizona. EVERY inmate says "I didn't do it" you are not going to find one single inmate say "yes, i had drugs on me" or "yes, i beat my wife" or "yes i raped that child" .. get serious. get real. they ALL say they are there by mistake. anyone who truly believes the police go out and arrest innocent people from grins and giggles is just living in the freaking twilight zone

I have so many friends that were in prison hey had no problemconfessing saying that they did the crime such as drugs or drinking while driving or beating the hell out of someone. i am sorry but that statement was a little too broad. there are people that do admit to the shit they do.
