Getting along in jail is generally up to the individual or as charged. As an inmate you go where you are assigned and do as the jailer directs you to do, and listen. If an inmate acts up .. they will be escorted away from the general population and housed by themselves until they can behave. Cooperation goes a long ways. Safety and security in a jail often gives an inmate a false sense of security ...due to the fact if a jail had thousands of jailers .. it wouldn't mean a particular inmate would remain
safe from others housed in jail .. nothing in any jail is secure .. one can only hope their experience in a jail went without incident .. and most inmates serve their time without problems from others .. but the potential threat is always present in any jail.
